HMB's founder and owner (Mr. HM Botha) is a dual Qualified Attorney (Botha & Company Attorneys) and Professional Quantity Surveyor, who understands the frustrations of the legal teams with Experts that do not follow or comprehend their instructions, the case or the evidence required to support it through Adjudication, Arbitration or Litigation. This dual qualification, coupled with experience in both the legal and technical sectors, enables HMB to bridge the gap between legal teams and technical experts, particularly where expert evidence must be properly aligned with legal instructions, the pleaded case, and the evidentiary requirements of adjudication, arbitration or litigation.

HMB is thus appointed not only to provide quantum expert evidence, but also to manage and coordinate experts providing opinion evidence in other disciplines, including planning, programming, architecture, engineering and construction generally. We maintain close relationships with local and international claims and expert consultancy firms and are able to draw on extensive resources where required.

Project Consultancy Services

HMB also provides procurement, contract, commercial and cost consultancy services, including traditional quantity surveying and project management services.
